Muffler after the turbo will reduce some of the turbo sounds (bad imo!!) as well as the engine noise.

For those that are running strait through mufflers before the turbo. Be careful, most strait through mufflers run fiberglass packing and will come lose and go through the turbo!

Thats what i though about TieRod. But lookin inside the muffler i dont see how it could.
Its stainless steel mesh inside the muffler. Just talked to Jim at Magnaflow, They are rated for 1400*F... unless it reaches 1400* there is no chance at anything coming loose inside the muffler.

What temps would the exhaust see before the turbo??

I run a 40 series stainless Flowmaster in front of the turbo. I didn't want to take a chance of any baffling material coming lose. Sounds great, and didn't lose any power. It actually spools a bit quicker than without. Check out that muffler it has large welded chambers that even if they come lose won't fit through the exit hole of the muffler. I have seen what just the slightest debris can do to a turbo and it's not good...
