Default Running sts w/o intercooler....highest IAT

In everyone's experience, am I going to run into any problems down the line without an intercooler on my STS setup? What's the highest IAT that I should expect?

Thanks

I saw 150* with no IC at then end of a run at 10psi. The problem was that all the pipes got heat soaked, so my IAT's didn't come back down for another run. They're coated inside and out, so they don't dissipate heat too well, and with the intake pipe running right by the exhaust manifold, my IAT's didn't drop back down. The IAT's still never went over 150*, but they just got there sooner.

So should I not worry too much about blowing everything up? Keep in mind the hottest it really gets in buffalo is 85-90 on rare occasion.

Well you should tune for the higher IAT's you will be seeing. The higher the IAT's the more timing should be pulled. I think the factory tune already compensates for this, but I'm notu sure. I know mine needed to be tweaked.

I see 154 if I idle for anything more than a few minutes. It cools off once I get moving. It cools off really fast if I get enough boost to kick in the Meth. I plan on calling Allen this summer, NelsonPerformance has a new intercooler kit for the STS.
