Question Reverse Exhaust Turbo Set Up?

Been looking around at diffrent options for revamping my set up and came accross some set-ups on LS1 Tech. These guys are reversing the truck manifolds and mounting their turbos low and up front.
I know there is more room up front on an F-Body with some addtional mods but has anyone done this type of set-up on a truck?
Do we have the room without modifying anything?
Just trying to entertain all options before cutting up intake tubing and anything on the truck.
Post your pics or links if you have them.

I am pretty sure on the trucks its not the most feasable option due to the location of the cross member etc. Also the F body's rad. is mounted at a angle I believe so there would be more room down low.. I think..

There have been two front mount kits fabricated this way. One kit is Rick@Synergy's with the stock manifolds flipped upside down and facing forward for twins, the other was 8ALTNG's truck with stock manifolds facing forward to feed a single. If I remember right you loose the A/C with the manifolds facing down and forward. I think you need to re-route the plug wires with the manifolds facing up and forward.

The third option is a stock driver manifold with a log manifold on the passenger side.

Yes, Synergy is using the stock exhaust manifolds on opposite sides so they are facing forward. Look at 2004Denali's thread and there are pictures of the setup. It looks pretty clean to me.

8ALTNG's truck uses a stock manifold on the drivers side and a modified shorty header on the passenger side due to interference problems on the passenger side with a stock manifold.

I think a set of Imapala SS mani's would work well with what you're trying to do. I don't know if anybody has tried them yet, but they look like they'd just go up and point straight foward.

I believe that is what W2W does with their truck kits.

To do it like the F-body, you have to ditch the ac (manifold hits it) and use car accessories (drivers side hit truck power steering pump) If you put them on upside down, you have to build a heat shields as they are really close to the coils and flip the coils so the plug wire come out the top and make new longer plug wires that go around the end of the block. And they don't look very pretty.
