Here's my setup I built in my Chevelle. I sold the turbo to switch my setup to twins, so the piping is up for sale if anyone's interested... I took some measurements off my buddy's 2000 chevy pickup and it will fit with some modification to the heater hoses and possibly the down pipe.

HOLY CRAP that looks like a web of piping!! Looks like alot of heat soak from all the piping would incure no? Nice setup in any case, how did she perform number wise?

Aiming the manifolds up will get you close to the rad. fill jug. I personelly did not like the angle you had to start with at that flange, but I was wanting the turbo in a certain locaiton.

Have you seen kbracing96's thread? He didn't use the reversed stock manifolds that you originally asked about but you said that you wanted to explore all options, so I thought I'd throw this one into the mix.

It looks to me like KB's setup has some significant advantages. The hot manifolds are turned down, which keeps the heat away from the valve covers and plug wires. The crossover goes underneath and behind the motor which keeps that hot pipe away from the top front of the motor, and will reduce heat soak in the engine compartment. On the downside, it looks like the turbo goes where the A/C comp would be, but maybe a Corvette or F-Body setup would cure this. Of course, this is a highly customized setup, but KB does mention that he might be building some extras for sale. Looks like a really neat setup to me.

I don't think it's any worse than this...

It did get hot underhood, but nothing that I'm sure a little ceramic coating wouldn't help. No good numbers, made it to the track once and had a fuel starvation issue, ran 14.0 @ 105 mph at 5psi though.

It just looks like alot from that angle. But if you saw how short the conection pipes where, its a whole lot better.

I doubt there's much difference in length of the pipe if you were to measure it. At any rate the point I was trying to make was that if a pro builds a setup like this that's works that well with a few bends in the piping, I'm sure mine works just fine too.

has anyone tried to use the corvette manifolds turned forward? Did a search and couldn't find anything. Just wondering.
