That is probably a hard question to answer with a high degree of certainty. There are too many variables such as driving style, PCM tune, etc. I have my high boost setting at about 10 PSI ( seems closer to 9 PSI in the colder weather ) but generally drive around on my low boost setting of 5 PSI. I have meth injection but no IC. I generally data log when I am on the high boost setting just to keep and eye on things and I am pretty sure that it is safe. Can the engine take it in the long run? I am not sure but generally I use the low boost setting and don't beat on it all the time so I am sure it will last a long time. Keep an eye on your gauges because things can go wrong in a hurry when you are running high boost levels.

Being aware of the risk should help you avoid any problems associated with it.

I drive with mine in snow and rain and have not had any problems. I have never even put the sock on the filter. If you are worried put the remote filter mount kit on in the winter or during the rainy/flood season. My filter gets rain and snow on it between the cab and box but it does not seem to hurt anything. The filter gets a little water on it in the rain but unless you have an IC there does not seem to be anywhere for it to build up and cause a problem. In small amounts it seems to get pulled through and injested much like it would using meth injection. I just keep an eye out for deep water and try to avoid deep puddles as much as possible. It is worth taking precautions because a hydraulic locked engine is no fun. So yes there is some risk to the filter drawing in water but a little common sense will go a long way to preventing any problems but not in negating them all together..

I dont beat on it too often but when I do its normally pretty bad. Thanks for the input, Im just trying to learn as much as I can right now. Really trying to decide between a radix and turbo. But Im no where close to buying one, or even deciding for that matter.
