How are you going to tune? Dyno + good tuner would be required for 10-12psi on an LQ9. I believe 12 psi is the max safe limit for an LQ9 (where safe means it will last longer than a few months with the best tune, perfect maintenance, etc.)

Is it a stock tranny (4l65e??)? 2-3 days of tuning at 12 psi killed my stock 4L65 (ok, ok maybe it was the 3+ months of 10psi that occurred immediately prior to the 2-3 days hehe)

dyno and good tuner for sure! i plan to tune it for 12psi and run 6 to 8 on the street. what kind and how much is a boost controler that will work good for me?

the trany has a vet srev. and some work done to it, a guy i know has a d1sc with 450 rwhp with the a 4l60 and all is good with it. do u think i will make more than 450 with this set up? thanks man!!

The turbo may stress the trans more due to more mid range torque.

You'll make 450rwhp easy. Even with your beefed up tranny it will break sonner than your engine will. Best of luck

Yes I think you'll be in the 500-550 range at 12 psi.

I'm still running the STS electronic 15psi controller. There are better ones out there, but I'll let someone who runs one post up.
