If your refering to boost from FI ,I would say 10psi is about all I would run...Some will say more though...on my truck with a 2.75 pulley on a Maggie I only see 7lbs of boost...thats enough for me

Since you're in an 05 crew, I'm assuming its an LQ4 (so 9.4:1 CR rather than the 10.1:1 in an LQ9).

With none of the above, about 7 psi is all I would run.

With meth and a FMIC you might get away with 14-15psi. With only meth or only the FMIC, I'd stick at 12 psi.

All of this assumes a very solid tune (aka in person street / dyno) by an FI savvy tuner.

--just saw the post about meth

Is it a progressive meth controller? (Alky control or snow performance)?

i know this is stupid but what is a FMIC? it is a LQ9 the glove box says!! its a snow performance! thanks for the fast replys.

one more thing i have a boost,and a fuel psi gauge, and one more hole-to fill, air/fuel or pyro, wide band air/fuel are to damn much $$$!!!!!!!

Wide band is the only gauge worth putting in of the 3 you mentioned. FMIC= Front Mount Inter Coooler

FMIC = front-mounted intercooler

you must have a vortec max then if you have a factory lq9....

i would get a wideband but if nothing else get a pyrometer or a interceptor scan gauge

edit: trever1t: just barely....

i have a 5000lbs boat, it would be a bad idea to try to pull it right?

i was told the wide band was around $350 is this the case?

05crew, if you have a good trans, trans cooler and tuned properly I don't see why you couldn't tow your boat. Check summit for an AEM wideband unit, I think I paid just over $200 iirc.
