What are you guys thoughts on a 2011 4.8l silverado with a tsp220/220 .581 .581 112lsa cam being run with a 70mm or 76mm turbo.... Would that cam do alright? I know they recommend a wider lsa ... But I want some opinions

not the best turbo cam, but i'd try it and see how it does before i swap it out. i have a Lunati 221/221 .558 112lsa and i really like it even w/ turbo. biggest thing i notice is it has a little more lag, but not that bad. makes good power up top.

*** I chose the Texas Speed stage 2 turbo cam. It has .600"/.600" lift and a 112° LSA. Without turbo it had a chop to it and it doesn't require the use of a stall converter. since I have installed the single 70mm turbo system on the truck and it is still at the tuner undergoing finishing tuning and tweaks, it made well over 600RWHP, well over. Lol. My gearing stock was a 3.23 with a 17" wheel and tire. Now it has 20" wheels and a 275 tire which is equivalent to a near 33" tall tire which took my stock 3.23 gear to about about 3.06. So my next mod of course will be a gear and differential swap to an Eaton LSD with a 4.10 gear. I'm hoping for a mid 11 second truck with the addition of Caltracs and a shorter and stickier tire.

NA cams have overlap to build high RPM horsepower. With a turbo, that overlap bleeds low rpm torque because the waste gate is usually bleeding off exhaust on the high end to keep boost under control. How much overlap does the TSP cam have at .006 or so valve lift? If only a few degrees, I wouldn't worry about it if you already have that cam.
