No it wont overheat. As long as you the truck doesn't get to hot you could probably get by without it. With heat the coolant expands hence the tank is there to contain the extra volume. It contracts when the coolant cools down.

Nice nice.. I still have my stock upper radiator hose and just noticed On3 doesn't provide the filler neck. Hopefully auto parts stores have them

I'm familiar with Aldowelds, if I'm not mistaking I believe hes a fabricator for D3 or used to. Turbo upgrade was $200 If I remember right.

Little update.

Cold side done

Only issue I faced in the cold side was the 3" to 4" coupler not fitting my BBK 92mm TB. So I bought a 3.5" to 4.5" coupler from Home Depot.

For the Hot Side.

Closing the V-band from the crossover pipe to the Log was a PITA cause it was nearly impossible to get it aligned and clamp it down(a second hand would make things much easier here)

The hot side I needed a 1/4" shorter bolt so instead of rushing the hardware store I modified the V-Band.

This is where I tapped the Oil return line using a 9/16" drill bit and a 3/8 NPT Tap.

Wired up the AEM TRUBOOST controller, Trans temp, and water temp gauges.

This is how it looks "Nearly" Finished, just need to bolt down the BOV but I'm waiting til my FIC 1000cc injectors come in to avoid building any boost.

And here is a quick Idle clip. Local exhaust shops were closed today so I can get the Downpipe connected to my Dual orsa sport exhaust set-up.

With the 70mm it's $1970 Shipped. I got chose some upgrades such as the 78/75 turbo, mesh air filter, sparkplug wire set, and a DP for the wastegate to vent to atmosphere. Witch was an additional $300-400 from the initial price.
