Stock oil cooler lines are 1/2" which is -8an so shouldn't be an issue. And most all oil filters have a drain back valve in them so shouldn't let the oil drain back. It would have to push its way back though the oil pump too.

Man some of you guys change you're oil a lot!! lol I drive my truck a lot and change it every 3-4k miles with no cooler and never had any oil pressure issues or bearing wear issues.

What ever is on sale! I've never been a believer in one oil is any better for your motor then another. They all have to meet the min spec and a motor can live on that.

I used to work for a NASCAR race team sponsored by Citgo. We ran the same Citgo 20w50 and 10w30 conventional oil (cuz it was FREE, lol) that you could buy off the gas station shelf in our 800hp, 9000rpm na race motors.

Tim, no kidding. It cracks me up the guys that want to turbo a gas truck "on a budget". Just go ahead and double that might get you close.
No worries here, Ive done the research and spent the coin to figure it out 5 years ago. Just trying to inform the misinformed.

GM requires synthetics to maintain warranty on most all the newer stuff but I think that's mostly for the extended oil changes. It can't hurt though, lol.

Oil is like cams and converters, everyone has there own opinions on them, lol
