Default adapter block

i was talking about block, all my parts came in today except my -8 to -10 adapters ,i going to through it my lift went it home and find a spot to mount close to block as i can . my oil temps were getting up 315 .with 5qt of rottela and 1 quart of lucas .i am now changing oil every 800 to 1000 miles ,cause i know heat if killing oil just hit 10,000 miles on my boosted build ,so that 11 oil changes this WHOLE turbo build is a learning curve. so the next time you future turbo guys here ALL YOU GOT TO DO IS BUY A KIT (THAT WAS I TOLD) TELL TELL TO STOP LYING LOL..................

25hdtankhauler and hondarider552, That's enough of the bad mouthing each other. If you want to continue then take it to PM. You both had your thoughts in but there is not any more useful content to be had in this thread by debating who knows the duramax better. This thread is for gas turbo oil temperatures.

Tim, no kidding. It cracks me up the guys that want to turbo a gas truck "on a budget". Just go ahead and double that might get you close.

Just run oil designed for high temp turbo apps. I've never concerned myself with oil temps.

You've introduced a new variable into the system. The pump has to pump harder and probably pumping a little more oil.

8sec?

I can see that. It probably has to build the pressure up in the system and build it so the oil pressure sending unit sees it. It could be it just takes that long for the pressure to build at the sending unit.
