Default the normal "oil residue in the charge pipes" and MAF question

I know it is normal to have a little oil in your charge pipes. What does this mean for the MAF? It seems every other week I have to clean my MAF due to this oil in the charge pipes.

Does anyone else have this problem? I will soon be switching to a SD tune, but I am just wondering if I am having more oil in my charge pipes than normal (enough to screw up MAF over a week of driving it)-- meaning my turbo is going out

His sig said he's using a Master Power, which cannot be rebuilt anymore since they are out of business, unless there are universal parts out there or he gets custom made parts in which case it may be better to just buy a new turbo. Might be worth it to try an oil restrictor too.

Its not normal for that to happen, but I've had the issue as well. I started adding restrictors in the feed but was still pushing. So I rerouted my drain line with a 45* off the turbo to keep things more vertical and for a longer distance. No more oil in the charge pipes, it was simply backing up in the -10 hose.

i used a -12 hose straight down from the turbo around the AC Comp and into the pan right under it.

there is no play at all in the turbine shaft. Is there another way I can tell if the turbo is bad? This turbo has been putting out this amount of oil since I installed it brand new.

my oil return line is very un-restrictive. I have it coming almost straight vertical out the turbo and then down to the oil pan. It is a 1/2" ID line too. I am also wondering about oil restrictor. I'm going to have to look up info on how to do that.

I'm going to pull the oil return line off and make sure it is clear.

1/2" sounds a little small. I believe that is only -8AN. Like others said, should be using atleast -10 hose. I think -10 is the minimum that comes with the KB and Trick kits.

Yea you need to bump it up to 5/8 I'd drain hose. Iv had a lot of smoking problems and iv had to use restrictors. I have some 3/4 id hose now and I just have to re tap my pan in a better spot for it
