gotta say, my S475 has a metal inlet tube with a straight silicon coupler to the compressor, and the cone filter clamps to the metal tube.
it ain't going nowhere.

 

Thanks for all the help! My build wouldn’t be possible without you guys laying the ground working and having already done it. All I’ve got left is filtering the inlet and two vacuum lines. I’ll probably get at you for the tuning part Atomic. My guy who usually helps me is bowed up and I want it done by Christmas

mine was part of a kit for a dodge, so my comment was more that a metal tube with a straight coupler doesn't have the collapsing woes - that said, you may have to make your own. i've even seen some done with PVC that hold up just the same.

i actually replaced the resonator box on my wife's H3 with a straight section of PVC (only because i didn't want to retune again just to open the MAF section up from 2.5" to a full 3").
