Starting to think you need a new truck at this point, or a new hobby all together. It's one thing after the next with no end in sight, feel bad for ya.

 

Met a few pretty knowledgeable guys this wkend...U have fel-pro O-ring in the oil pump/pan? Any ticking in the motor, either all the time or at about the same time wjen u drive it? Mine does, and I have the fel-pro...it doesn't fit prop and causes oil aeration...raises oil temp (mine does) and causes temp issues through all systems. I'm gonna go back to stock pan and get the stock GM O-ring....I'll let u know when we do it if this diagnosis worked on mine. Prob cure many of my probs, from leaks to IAT to power if its correct.

 

just when i was thinking this truck has no nut, lol.

was on the way home from the golf course tonight. decided to get in it a little. from a roll i flashed the stall then went about 1/2 throttle and smoked the tires, cool.

next I stopped at a light, nobody around, held down the gas and held rpm at about 2000, then stomped gas and let off brake. truck didn't move, tons of smoke, lol. oops.

then cruising along, let off the gas, 40mph, flash the rpm up real quick then floor it, totally broke loose again. wow.

i'm super impressed with the power. just gotta get the bugs worked out with the idle, iat, etc.

 

Thats what I've been waiting to hear. Some positive news.

 

It's a love/hate thing. Love new power... hate everything that breaks until you get it all worked out. Then you love it until it needs something more... and the cycle begins anew... LOL

 

more positive results. I did a 4wd launch today just for fun. only went about 1/2 or 3/4 throttle. Damn it hooked and pulled hard. a/f was money too.

I'm told by a site sponsor who is very well know in the tuning world that my tune is seriously not cool, but, it kinda works for the time being. It will be completely revamped soon.

 

oh, and here's my final cai setup. I'm liking this one alot.

 

Don't get to carried away with the tune, sounds like it's running the best it ever has. It's good to hear that thing is finally coming around.
