I still got the leakies too, but nothing too serious. I think I've solved most of my heat probs and now its just a matter of changing my heads/porting/upping compression to get to where I think it shud be. I shud prob pull the motor at some point, but frankly its running better than it ever has and pulls nice and hard, so I think I'll just put some mileage on it this summer. Comes out of storage Apr 1!

Came out harsher than I intended but dont be so sensitive...Don was never excited to work on our problem trucks and wasn't shy to tell me at least! Didn't mean his work wasn't good, I just missed the smile.

 

Would you be excited about working on a car or truck that has already been a problem for a few shops???? didn't think so.... So you ever going to get that tank to NED or what????

 

I'd be excited to work on anything from a guy like me who just wants to get the best advice and willing to pay what its cost already! Whadayamean by "NED"?
Right now its in storage 'til apr 1...I plan to bring it up to Don after that and try and bump the boost, but frankly it was runnin best yet after I changed the xchanger and got it unclogged! It def needs to either port heads or change them outright to higher compression (9.4ish now). Motor shud be pulled and leaks dealt with too, but I can live with it as long as its makin current power. Also, instead of all that I might just spend some time on handling by lowering 2/4 and doing the brakes and new shocks/coils.

Newest issue in some kind of transmission limp mode. Hopefully the issue is a simple fix

 

I had that happen to me once Dan. It was caused by a bad sensor in the trans. very simple and cheap fix. ya i didnt think there was such a thing my self

 

Yeah they're troubleshooting it. I've read a bunch of threads on it. Sounds like it could be lots of things. I'm hoping it's just the vss sensor or something simple like that.
