I don't know if anyone remembers my last combo, just a stock 5.3 with a D1sc that broke #7 in 2 days. Well, here is the new combo. Should be complete in 2 weeks.

5.3 block and crank
ATI keyed Superdamper
Eagle rods
Mahle pistons 9:1
Ported 5.3 heads 290cfm
Comp cam .610/.630 224/230 114 with Crane Gold 1.8 rockers
Vic Jr. intake
60lb injectors
Pacesetter headers w/ORY
Custom 4in Magnaflow from Y-pipe back
ALKY Contol Meth kit M15
FLT Level 4 4l80e
Vig 3000 stall 3 disk lock-up converter
Tuning will be provided by Nelson

I got the motor bolted in today. Should have most of it done next weekend.
It made 440 at the tires last go with about 12lbs of boost. Not sure how much boost I will loose with the added cubes/heads/cam. Pics coming soon.

What do ya'll think? Power? 1/4 times on slicks?

If I do another Chevy it will be a forged 346 in an iron block (bored 5.3L). Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. What compression will you be running?

 

From what I've read everyone seems to think that the intake is the problem when it comes to breaking the #7 hole. I've got so much money tied up in this thing now, I've decided to not cut any corners.
