Good, now stop, drive easy, wait for the pump, and re dyno. Do you have a boost gauge?

yes...it is up and down...20-10...i'll pay closer attention to idle vacuum if you think it could clue me in...I had been watching it but I can't see any pattern to its movement.

sounds like something isn't right, double check for leaks. A reading of 10 will cause problems, but 20 is excellent, so there is an issue.

the high fluctuation in manifold vacuum can mean a vacuum leak or even improperly seated intake manifold gaskets, which to me, sounds like your idle issue.

Were the dyno runs made with the converter locked or unlocked?

My cam is basically what the trucker with 1* less lobe sep. I am still waiting to hear from the guy that was supposed to be tuning mine this weekend . Mine dies 95% of the time when I come to a stop or even push in the clutch slowing down for a turn. It is very aggrivating. Especially when I was supposed to have it tuned already but the guy won't call me back . Anyway, not to get off the subject, mine idles @14". I have to let it go through a few surge cycles before it will idle. Mine being a 4.8 is why I'm probably having a little more issues than he is.
