thanks bro, we have a few other things in the works, but everything seems to take more time than we originally think. Brians race truck will definetly bring some of these new ideas to the table. This year should be a good one for the Radix Boy's

For years, the C5 vette guys have had some idle issues going with larger ported TBs. The truck and SSR TB have the blade shrouded a little at low throttle angles, so I figured it would be easier to work out idle issues on the SSR model. In the past, I hand ported a truck throttle body and removed all the extra material hindering airflow at low throttle. It took some work to get it to idle properly without having cruise effects when slowing down. Hopefully I won't have to spend much time messing with tuning it in. If the vette model works without any tuning, then thats even better. Once I get everything back together and tested, I may hand port the TB some.

I agree with the comment you made about closely resembling the truck TB, this was the reason behind my choice to work with the SSR part in the inception of this project. We did find the Vette TB worked out a little better in the long run, and I dont think it looks too bad. The Vette TB has the same theroy behind the parabolic throttle bore and the shrouded SSR TB, it exposes the throttle bore in small incraments to help with low speed driveability. I would not suggest hand porting this design, I am sure alot of thought went into it....and I am not sure the gains would be worth the possible loss in driveability. This was pretty much a direct plug and play deal, we did not have to tune anything.....However there is more power to be found from the added timing you can run with the bigger TB.

How does the UMI racing cable TB work compared to the Vette or SSR TB in terns of drivability and power gains? Similar?

Gains were the same, the UMI TB is close in design principal to the Vette TB. The UMI is a great choice for the cable TB guys!

How much lower are the temps and how much more timing are you talking about?

I do not have that data infront of me...I think it was 5-6 more * maybe more. The net gain on the engine dyno was incredible.

Yeah, I saw those graphs on the magnusson site. No other changes besides the larger TB and more tuning? Nice. How soon until you get your truck on the dyno to see the real world gains in a vehicle?
