Default LQ9 build question

Well I've decided to upgrade my 5.3 to a 6.0 bored to a 370c.i. I'll be running a TVS1900 supercharger and was wondering something. With the components that I've selected I'm wondering which setup would be better in terms of piston-to-deck height and compression.

1: Factory deck height with the pistons .019" below deck and 9.63:1 CR

or

2: Deck milled .010" with pistons .009" below deck and 9.84:1 CR

I'll be using 11cc dished pistons and 6.100" forged rods. Also involved will be 62cc ported 243 heads and the other parts in my sig.

I'm hoping the experts will chime in with an opinion or two and offer some advice on this build in general as well. I'm in search of TORQUE with reasonable economy and thus no 408 stroker.
Thanks for any input.

I'd run a zero deck (piston top even with deck). Tighter quench typically helps ward off detonation and makes a little more power all other things being equal. Probably get you around 10-1 compression though. If you haven't bought the pistons, you could get some with a slightly bigger dish, bringing the compression back down to around 9 to 9.5. If you already have the pistons maybe you could get your head builder to open the chambers up a little bit. Whatever you decide to do, my preference has always been to build zero deck motors. Hell, we used to build the 5.0 mustang motors with the piston .005 out of the hole and they responded very well to that.

Regardless, it will work with 10-1 compression and be a torque monster with that blower. Sounds like a cool build.

Thanks for the info. Using a 25cc dished piston and a .040" asket I can get a static CR of 9.12:1 but the piston would be .010 out of the hole. Do you think this would work? The effective CR with 8psi boost would be 13:1.

Also, using the 11cc dished piston, s .051 gasket and a longer rod the piston would be .006 out of the hole. Would a 10.2:1 CR be too high for this engine at 6psi? The effective CR with 6psi boost would be 13.36:1. I'm leaning towards this.

Going with a 403 stroker now.
