Check for vacuum leaks... I forgot to put a vacuum cap on the T going to the wastegate on the Escalade when I removed the boost guage and it made 20+#. Not a good idea on a stock engine and pump gas

but I got lucky and didn't do any harm. Also, make sure you have the boost going to the bottom of the gate (nearest to the flange).
