Killer Chiller
#1
been pondering over this device for weeks now. Been doing research and reading tons of forum content on whether or not this is a viable option for me. I really want to do it but I want to get the best bang for my buck also. Have a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali.
- whipple 2.3 w/2.50” griptec (#15 lbs.)
- whipple injectors and rails
- Oreillys house brand fuel pump (MasterPro) w/kb bap 17 volts
- Airaid open air filter element and intake tube
- Moroso catchcan
- corvette servo
- Dedicated Motorsports 2.5 gallon reservoir
- puller fans on whipple heat exchanger
- tuned
- stock LQ4, stock heads, stock cam, stock exhaust, stock diff gears, stock 4L65E trans and stock TC.
best 1/4 mile - 13.6 @ 102 mph w/ 2.1 60’, 5.3 second 0-60, 5820 lbs with me in it.
i know I need a fuel system but would I benefit from a killer chiller to cool my iats and stop timing from being pulled?

that’s true. I didn’t want to do an exhaust because I am trying to keep my truck stock sounding as possible. Trust me, I want to go ***** out and build the truck up to a 800 rwhp beast but I’m just gonna keep it and fun little daily with occasional track.

lmfao that is not what I mean
do long tubes and hi flow cats and then just slap on the biggest muffler you can find.
When I said mufflers exist I didn't mean buy a Corsa sportback lmao

i understood what you meant. I meant that I’m not the type of person to half azz something. Either I do it or I don’t. I wouldn’t just put a muffler on my truck, I would do a full catback to preserve my stock system if I ever decided to take my truck back to stock. I’m not doing too much to the truck, I’m not going to invest much into it fully. It’s my fun daily and occasional track

youre definitely right about that. I would definitely want a full on race truck but i don’t get out to the track enough to warrant the cost and labor of a full build. I think I’ll just do the killer chiller and fuel system and be done with it. My current fuel system definitely leaves a lot to be desired

Perhaps switch to an enclosed air intake. That's what I would start with first. Since this isn't a track truck I have a feeling that the open air filter may be getting a bit of hot air.
Also there are other cat-backs you can purchase to retain a stock sound or one with minimal noise gain. Cutting and welding is not half assing anything either imo, hell buy an extra stock exhaust take off and you'll be in the lead 10 times that of a Corsa.
