Killer Chiller

Perhaps switch to an enclosed air intake. That's what I would start with first. Since this isn't a track truck I have a feeling that the open air filter may be getting a bit of hot air.
Also there are other cat-backs you can purchase to retain a stock sound or one with minimal noise gain. Cutting and welding is not half assing anything either imo, hell buy an extra stock exhaust take off and you'll be in the lead 10 times that of a Corsa.

I’ve actually been thinking about switching back to the factory airbox but the thought of choking out the whipple and losing some of that blower whine stops me from doing it. The airaid unit is actually a good built unit, it’s properly shielded and has a good rubber surround sealed to the hood.
i wouldn’t consider just welding in a muffler. That’s not my cup of tea but to each their own. I’ve done it before in the past on mustangs but I’d only put a full, good quality catback, like Corsa, on my truck. I know there are other catbacks out there, I’ve done a little research before.
i know supercharged vehicles do better with a free flowing exhaust but I’m trying to stay “Barney” with this build. I appreciate the feedback

it’s not about what it’s worth to someone else brother, it’s what it’s worth to me. But again, to each his/her own. I respect everyone’s build equally

Stock air box is pretty free flowing, especially with the swiss cheese mod, pair it with the Airaid intake tube and you are good to go. Both of those things combined should allow you to keep the supercharger whine you are wanting. I highly doubt you will choke the blower that way.
The only other "CAI" I would try is an S&B or a Banks. I love the way they look and I trust Banks with his products.

yes the Banks and S&B pieces are quality built. I only got the airaid because I wanted the open filter element because i wasn’t boosted at the time and I was being thrifty. I have to do a little research on the Swiss cheese mod as far as where I would drill the holes so that it doesn’t take in hot air. Here are some pictures of the airaid I have

im sure the long tubes played a big part in that. If I’m gonna do muffler I might as well do full exhaust. If I do full exhaust I might as well do heads cam and e85. They all go hand in hand. I’m just gonna do KC and throw around some fueling ideas

no, I just have a different mindset than everybody else. If I’m gonna do something I’m gonna do it right. I don’t like regretting modifications. I could easily do heads, cam, full exhaust, e-85, built engine and trans, etc, but I don’t have time for all that. I’m not gonna just weld in a muffler and have to buy another stock catback if I ever decide to trade or sell the vehicle, I’m gonna retain my factory one.

Like I said, stubborn. Everyone has told you how to “get the best bang for your buck” but you won’t listen and just want to stick to what you originally planned so you wasted everyone’s time.
