Well my trucks about done. I have one more decision I have to make. I have a set of 5.7LS1 heads that are fully Ported and polished with 2.02/1.57 valves and patriot gold springs. These heads have a 66cc chamber and will give me about 8.9-1 CR. The other heads are stock set of 6.0/317's. I would keep the stock valves, Port and polish them and of course put the patriot springs on as well. The other good thing about the 6.0 head is its 72cc chamber. That will give me about 8.3-1 CR..... Higher boost The down side is two weeks to get these heads ready to go plus more money compared to the 5.7 heads that are ready to go! I cant make up my mind so I thought you guys could help me out.

 

Sell the LS1 heads and get you a nice set of 6Ls IMO lower CR and throw alot mroe boost at it.

IF I used the 5.7 heads (8.9-1CR) I wonder if I could push 15 PSI without having any KR problems. The setup is going to be Twin 60-1 turbos with a big air to air intercooler up front.

 

I would wait for the 6L heads. The lower compression will make a world of difference. Just look at it this way: it could be the difference between 10's and LOW 10's

 

Yeah hopefully it will be done by then.... but yeah I'll be there and I give you ride. Did you say you went there or it was your girl?

and im going to have to go with the lower CR if i were you... might as well finish her off after all this time... its only two weeks of prep for the heads, go for it
