Whos put a front mount intercooler in with a side mount blower setup like this regardless of blower size/brand:



How does it run with the TB mounted before the blower? Im concerned the extra plenum volume will severely stunt performance. A FMIC would add approx 5' of tubing plus the internal volume of the IC itself

 

The intercooler did not seem to hurt part-throttle performance until I got my latest cam. I was having idle problems with this cam that I could not figure out how to fix in the tune, so with 03sierraslt's suggestion, I relocated the blower's bypass valve. It now bypasses the intercooler not just the blower, so the IAC is about the same difference from the engine as stock. It seemed to be the change that I needed to get the idle to settle down.

 

Im having some Idle problems too, do you have any pics of your setup. I have thought about by passing the intercooler for the same reason.

This is my current setup

Im laying plans for a 122 upgrade and have been pondering if my traditional TB location will be a benefit or hindrance left alone. I do know moving the TB will quiet the blower down at idle/low throttle. Right now it's pretty obnoxious

 

What are your cam's specs?
