Meth, injection hope I don't need it. So much going on already, but if the IC parts don't do their job its always an option.

agree, it's preference, but by no means do the low imp injectors idle worse than the high imp inj.
the low imp inj's run better, idle better and tune better than high's, that's already been proven.

the converter box is easy to install and very simple. as long as the wiring is good, there won't ever be a problem.

not trying to convince you, i'm sure those 85's are more than enough.

allen. im shooting for 550 at the wheels and think 60's would be good but would you suggest running the low imp box with larger injectors to cut the duty cycle? just wondering whats the better route. also if you could pm me price

First, what are you putting them on? I mean are they Multech, EV-1(minitimer), EV-6(USCAR) EV-14 etc?

Modern cars/trucks use the EV-6(USCAR, LS3) type injectors. The biggest I have seen is 91lbs/hr @43.5psi. But you can get an adapter to go from EV-6 or Multech to EV-1.

To calculate how much power your injectors are good for I use the following site. They have a very good tech section that calculates hp ratings based on injector size, BSFC, IDC etc.

i am going to agree 100% with Allen on this, i just switched from 83 highs on lil sis to 160's low and this thing idles like a champ, before if i would try to lean her out to mid 13's it would surge real bad, now i can idle her at 14 afr without a hiccup..

02 Chevy truck, Whipple set up. So I guess that would be old school stuff these days.

Yeh, those are the Multech II injectors. I have some custom 60lb/hr Mulech's on my 03 Silverado. I think I talked to you(Rick) about them a year or so ago.

I punched in 800(crank) hp with a BSFC of .55 and fuel pressure at 58 psi with 80% IDC(injector duty cycle) and it says you would need a 60lb/hr injector. If you go to 85% you need 63lb/hr to go 900hp. Some go higher on the duty cycle but it is not recommended as injectors stop flowing in a linear fashion.

My injectors are currently at 30% IDC because I have not installed the turbo yet but I am hoping for 800 crank hp once I install the hot side kit I got from you.

BTW, the injectors on my truck flow 72lb/hr at my rail pressure of 58psi(4 bar) and all I did to the tune was change the IFR from the stock 25lb/hr to the current size and they idle like a champ.

Problem is when you change to an injector not made for us. Because they have different characteristics(battery offset voltage, min/max values etc.) so they sometimes don't idle good. I read some good info on the Yaw Performance site a while back ago that talks about that.
