I found that going to a cooler plug helped with tuning (plug reading) and found you could add some ignition timing back it in most cases. I'd try an 8 and see how it idles. If it does idle fine, go for it. If it doesn't idle good then try some 7's. I gap down in the .30 range for 10-12psi. Anything over 15 and I was gapping down to .25.
