Default How far will 42#ers take me?

I have the marine 8.1 right now with a inline fuel pump. Im wondering how far it will take me with an sts kit, FMIC, gt-67, 6L, 220/218 cam, and a vic jr intake. I dont really want to buy 60#ers since in a year I will need 96s or bigger. I have a walbro intank fuel pump that I can throw in too. I plan on throwing meth on it soon also which I figure will buy me a # or 2 more. What is the best price ayone has found 60#ers for and where. PM me if necessary.

~550-580 flywheel hp. 10-12psi is all you want unless you're doing internals.

I was thinking I would push it 12#s and turn it up to 14ish for the track maybe just depends on how Allen says it is working when he tunes it. Wilde Racing hit over 500rwhp with the 42#ers and 12psi. Ill have a cam and vic jr intake over him so I "should" be able to put down about 60ish more hp then him thats why Im wondering if Im going to max these out and how much further the meth will crutch me along. Changing out injectors is a PITA even though it easy, and I would rather throw on the right ones right now since I could get 200ish for my 42#ers and then throw another 200 with it for some 60#ers but if I can get away with the 42s then Ill do that. Make sense?

If I remember correctly Parrish said his injector duty cycle dropped by 25% or 30% with a $hit load of meth. I don't know if that is what you were asking and not even sure if those % are correct, but I think they are

With a voltage booster that can take it up to 18volts and meth, you should get up to 700+ rwhp. Im contemplating upgrading to the 60's myself.

Should I ditch the inline and run the intank or voltage boost the inline or use both pumps or any combo of the three?

I don't car what you hear, who has successfully done what, the above as berserker puts it is the going numbers. People with 600hp and 16lbs on 42's? sure. Voltage booster? sure. how long though? I'd say don't expect to get more than 550hp out of them on a return system without pushing the limits. go past 12psi and your asking for stress trouble. stress meaning nothing immediate, but time will win. If your are gonna spend money on the voltage booster and don't have 42's yet I'd say get the 60's instead. You'll have no problem selling them...hint hint. I got first dibs on your used 60's next year once you finally realize you are getting them. LOL

I don't know what sorta power I have but, mine are around 96%dc at 7.5psi on a headered 6.0L. 55-58lbs of air through the MAF. I know they have more in them because they flooded my engine out at a 10:1 AFR when I made a mistake on the tune.

Don't forget if you spin the engine up higher you'll need bigger injectors because they'll have less time to inject fuel.

Go with the bigger injectors now and get it over with.

42# injectors, inline pump, voltage booster on the inline.

450rwhp=80% IDC
I dont think youre gonna get too far on the 42's. I'd buy the 60's and be done (until the 96's are needed)
42# injectors on your setup is like a stock 60E, yea it will work.......until it doesn't.
