Default Help me decide which way to go with fuel system

370ls Turbo, fic 1650s injectors, ethonal.

Looked and looked and looked some more. Magnafuel 750 seems to be the cheapest and a very reliable pump that should do the job. Just dont need the pump running at a full tilt when cruising around town. THought about running it out of a fuel cell when im at the track and leaving a walbro 450 in the stock tank for cruising. and just use shut off valves to shut off the one I dont need on. The Aero 5.0 brushless variable speed looks like an ideal candidate, but damn, the price 1600 plus for the drop in. Holley and Fuel lab make one that seems to fit the bill but unable to get much info on the fuel lab. Im wanting to hit 1000 when I take to the dyno. I doubt I need pure E85 to do what Im wanting so Im unsure on the ratings from the sites on these pumps. I've also looked at boost a pumps but I'll be 350 into one of those. THe fuel system is the last leg of the build and ready to get it done.

the magna fuel 4303 is a very good reliable pump, on its own on e85 it will struggle a little to hit that 1000rwhp mark but it will do it. I would run it on a hobbs switch to activate it and leave your 450 in the tank for daily driver duties. When you need the fuel the 4303 will kick on giving you the fuel required. I personally don't like multiple pumps but if thats the route you want to go its fine just keep an eye on fuel pressure or your wideband when doing a run. The Aeromotive brushless pumps are good they support alot of power but they are not well suited for daily driver duties. They get hot and heat up the fuel and cavitate on longer drives. I have the variable speed 7gpm on one of my trucks but thats more of a weekend warrior not a daily. On my daily I run dual deatchworks pumps in a surge style setup. They make a 4303 that has a flange to mount to a fuel tank, that with a aeromotive cup filter and you could put it in the tank and keep it all internal, hidden away and keep that 4303 cool.

I'm also interested in the surge tank setups. Just a some questions about it though. For cruising around do you need the main tank pump working to fill the surge tank and 1 pump running in surge tank to feed the engine?

Also when I do actually need the 3 surge tank pumps fueling the engine on a pass, will I then have 4 fuel pumps running? What did you do to your electrical system to keep up with the amperage draw?

I like the surge tank idea to avoid starvation also the benefit of the pumps already built to fit the tanks nicely and hassle free installation.
