Default Help building for boost

I just got ahold of a sidemount whipple kit for my 06 sierra 4.8. Ive got a few questions on what I need to do to set up everything right to handle it. I currently have a tr220 lsa112 and long tubes. Will that cam work okay with the blower?
Also I'll need to beef up my transmission and I plan on getting an HD2 shift kit, seperator plate, pistons, billet servos, and I'm not sure on what size stall I will need to go with this new setup?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum. What are your future plans/goals for your truck? The 112 LSA is alittle tight but not really a deal breaker. There are more efficient cams available. Don't forget about the rear end. If your truck is equipped with the stock G80 locker, it could fail and may take your gears with it. A good upgrade is the Detriot Trutrac.

I just want it to be a moderately quick daily driver. Would I be better off with the stock cam than the tr220 for boost? And my rear end has 4.56 gears and tru trac so it's fine

As far as a boost cam goes, go with at least a 114 LSA and stick with around 224 duration. Valve overlap is what robs power with a boosted setup. This may be helpful

If the value comes out negative, you should be ok

What size tires do you have? You may end up blowing strait through 1st gear with the 4.56s. Any plans for a stall? something in the 2600 range should work nicely.

Currently I'm on 35x12.50's but I'm about to go to some 33x13.50 atz's. I need to do a stall but I'm not sure what to go with for this setup. You think a 2600 would work? I was thinking more like a 3200 but idk.

Do you have any pics of your ride? ok, you should be fine with the gears.
The whipples have great low end torque. With a 3200 stall you will lose that low end. Most of the radix guys say don't go higher than a 2800.

Alright then I guess I'll be going with a 2800 when the time comes. Would you suggest waiting till I have the shift kit and stall before i put the blower on? I know my little 4.8 still won't be pushing all that much power but I don't wanna risk breaking anything

And here's a pic of the truck. Right now it sits about 2" higher in the front than it does in this pic

Badass ride bro! Nothing better than a white truck all clean of decals and trim... finished off with chrome wheels. Looks great.
