Default Fuel pressure gaguge needed for turbo ?

Going with 4psi boost for now on my 03 silverado with a 4.8. Is a fuel presure gauge really necessary ? I have my AEM wideband and trans temp gauge installed already.

Fuel demand increases a lot with any form of FI. If your fuel system can't keep enough fuel at the rail, you want to know. So I always recommend a fuel pressure gauge. Nobody ever leaves their setup at 4-5 psi for very long....

Or you can roll the dice. Your pistons will tell you when you're fuel system is failing.

Is a condom needed with a hooker ? I say, YES!

Besides you gain 10hp with every gauge. I currently have 7 gauges in my truck.

Is a condom needed with a hooker when you plan to pull out would be better said lol...

Yes you are going to want a fuel pressure gauge, You need to catch a problem before it hurts the motor and being that a fuel pressure gauge is like 60$ its kind of silly not to run one. I run fuel, wideband and boost/vac on my boosted SS, Its cheap insurance.

Yes, the fuel gauge is a must do. Like already said you will not stay at 4lb of boost. I was just wanting a stock truck with 500plus rwhp. Now, Im on a built engine, difference trans, bigger turbo, etc, etc, etc...

I use an autometer fuel pressure sensor and wired it into the EGR signal so I can log it with EFILive. Also, the wideband will show lean if the fuel pressure drops.

Best comment!

I would run the FP gauge. No reason not to imo.
