Default Found the oil burning culprit finally :)

Well, after chasing an oil burning problem ever since I first installed the turbo kit on my truck, I think it's finally shown itself.

Looks to me like when I lost #7 on the last motor it threw some crap through the turbine wheel on the turbo. The edges are pretty chewed up. I'm also thinking that when that happened, it threw the wheel enough out of balance to slowly wear on the oil seal until it started smoking all the time.

I'm gonna take this down to the local turbo expert tomorrow and see if he can rebuild it for me.

Well damn. Maybe that's why the power is down as well. That's just my opinion, I think it should be doing more.

I believe the turbine wheel and the shaft assembly (haha i said shaft) are friction welded, cut the old one off, spin the new one, and the new shaft () really fast and push them together WAHLA!!!

i know you can get a bearing and seal kit as to rebuild them.
a new impeller blade, you just may end up buying a new turbo.
weigh your options before you do anything because
i know impeller blades are not cheap.

Yeah I guess it may be easier just to get a new one. I'm not really disappointed...I'm actually relieved to find that it's not a problem with the engine
