I would suggest it. It's not that difficult and a nice peace of mind. Plus it will be done and taken care of if you add more power down the road.

I have some pics and info in my build thread when I did mine.

Yes, you should do it. Your TVS1900 should come with a pinning kit, ask when you order, to be sure.

already ordered it. sent email to dealer and he will check and order me a kit thru Magnuson if not

I'm going to knock on wood and say my crank is not pinned since 7/2005 and it gets boosted every time it hits the road.

It would be a great sense of security though.

i pinned my crank when i installed my Supercharger like everyone else says it's cheap insurance

F.I.=Pinned or Key in Keyway or Taper Lock

no the pin kit does not come with the truck sc kit. I ordered one of the maggie kits. got a deal. $116 shipped. they are $213 now from maggie. but they are the only kits that come with a reamer and 2 pins

TVS1900 Magnuson on order, hope it ships next week. Paid extra for Crank Pin kit, leaving radiator out of vehicle for now, easier access to crank snout.

Magnuson claims 1/3 horsepower belt load at idle, up to zero manifold pressure: What is ballpark belt load horsepower to run, say 8 pounds of boost into a 5.3 LS ?
