Would you be able to post a pic of how your drain line looks?

 

This pic makes that line look like its traveling down hill.

Can you take that pic from the driver side area straight across at it?

 

What is the fitting going into the pan? If the line is adequate and the fitting is restricting the flow, that could add to the problem. I ended up changing mine to -12 and straighter to the side of the pan just to be on the safe side.

 

I have pretty much the same turbo, but On3 branded. I don't use any restrictor on my lines though as it's not a ball bearing unit. I've read it's needed only on BB turbos. Should I be? However, my oil pressure isn't a high as yours. Mine dops off to low 20's when hot and idling like many other LS motors. Maybe I need a high volume pump too hahaha

 

20 psi is low, have you removed the oil restrictor in the pan?

I personally think the culprit is that drain line. It shouldn't be going parallel or worse to the ground as in the pic.

 

You mean the bypass on the pan for dod? That's one thing I never checked after I bought the truck. The dod delete was already done and the bosses in the valley plugged with 1/8" npt plugs

 

Only reason I am running restrictors is that I had a 72mm BB on the truck prior to this one. But the situation was no where near like this. And my oil pressure is factory GM pump. I bought motor new about 5 years ago as a reman from GMPartsdirect or something like that. But I took Pistons out and installed total seal rings and gapped then for boost/N20

It is a 3/8 NPT to 5/8 barb

 

Maybe this is the problem /\

I though most people tap the pan for 1/2 npt, thats what I got with KBs kit

 

We're in a snow storm right now, when that stops I will get a picture.

All I run for restriction is the trick adapter for oil cooled trucks, even though mine is not.

 

I have the same kit, but I restricted it down more based off of my high oil pressure, and I had a BB turbo on it before the upgrade. No rush for the oil line pic, we just got a few inches as well
