Default Done deal.. Maxed out 4.8L/76mm Magnum. Next?

Well after 3 more track visits with this DBB Magnum 76/Q-Trim/.96 I can say without a doubt the little 4.8L has it maxed.

After swapping the ls6 cam to a Speed Inc TU1 and going to a TBSS intake w/ported TBSS throttle body and running a hair more nitrous, I can't best my old time. I'm very close, but can't best it.

Turbo has been as high as 22psi and as of friday had 65 shot on top. Seems to run about the same ET/MPH has 19-20 and 50 shot. I believe the back side/turbine wheel is the restriction and more power just isn't going to happen. I also refuse to run more timing or lean it out to make the power.

Truck seems to be working great out of the hole though.

SO whats next? Billet 76 PTE? s475 or s480 S483 ? These are pretty much my picks so far. I'm a big fan of the nitrous spooling the turbo up, so want to go big on the turbine side this time and 4" downpipe.

Video from friday.

I'd bet you just need more downpipe... That 76mm shouldn't be done yet.

IM pretty we'll set on a s480 t4 turbo when IM ready for it. I know that's alot of turbo but like you I also have nitrous and plan on using it to get it going. There's no reason it won't pull to 7k with that.

What are the dimensions on the turbine wheel itself? Looked up q-trim and it didn't pull up any numbers...damn ricer talk. Not letters, numbers...lol

S400s are some pretty nice pieces...

I'll tell you what it'll everyone... Talk to Reed at Work Turbochargers! He is as good as they get when it comes to spec'ing out a turbo combo and building a turbo!

Might as well be a stage 3 truck! Specs...unnecessary. Can't stand ricer talk! lol

Definitely need a bigger turbine wheel. You're right at the power level where that wheel stops making power. The compressor has life left though, no doubt

What power are you putting down with this setup? Any dyno runs?
