Default Debating between twins or single

I have been debating for some time on doing either a twin turbo setup or a single turbo setup on my 4.8l RCSB Sierra. I will probably keep the boost under 15psi most of the time because it's gong to be a stock bottom end. Now the turbos I have been looking at for a twin setup would be either gt-4288 or gt35r or borg warner s300's. If I decide to run a single it will most likely be a borg warner s472 or either a holset hx55. I would like to hear pros and cons against going twins or going single and why. I will likely be moving foward with buying a turbo/turbos within the month or sooner. I would like to have a setup I can grow into as well... not just something that is going to support what I have right now. I may eventually build a bigger cube engine or swap to a 6.0l.

First off i recommend setting a power goal and basing your decisions around that.
After a goal has been set we all can look at the options to reach that goal.
what is the budget on this project? ($) wise.

There is alot more to it than just picking a single or twin setup.

Once you find out how much power you want to make then we can start looking at:
Turbo size
drivetrain upgrades
fueling upgrades
etc. etc. etc.

And basing those options around your budget.

BTW, alot of people have a 900HP goal on a 400HP budget.

The driver side turbo and downpipe is a little tricky to fit, you have the brakes, a bunch of wiring, steering shaft ect. to deal with. Also need an extra wastegate, oil drain, ect. My next truck will definetly be a single!

I would allways go with twins given the choice, and $$$. Im currently debating, between one PT88, vs two T62's. Im probably going to go with the PT88 due to the cost.

A correctly sized single is plenty and alot easier to fit.

now what I am going to do with these 2 turbos setting here. lol

Twins usually cost more then a single. But power for power 500hp is 500hp no matter if its a single or twin. Now once you go past 800hp things start getting interesting, especially on these trucks.
Example you have to get a large downpipe 3.5? or 4" + and that is no easy task in routing down the chassis. Usually on the big pipe you will be modifing your inner fender plastic.
So like mentioned earlier what is the HP goal will let us help layout the over all system.

I might still go twins, if we can figure out how to do it without breaking the bank. It's the steering colmn, and intercooler piping that Im dreading.
