For quick spool on manual trans cars, BOV can be eliminated as it's sole purpose is to protect the turbo when the throttle body closed and it vents extra pressure. If the turbo is anti-surge, I see no problem to delete the BOV.

One of my turbo cars, does not have the BOV. It has HKS T51R SPL turbo and sounds amazing when I let off the gas pedal with no BOV.

The bov probably has an 8psi spring in it, meaning it will stay shut until there is 8psi applied to it. It should always be hooked up to the intake manifold through a reference line. When it boost, there is pressure on the bottom and pressure on the top canceling each other out. Without that reference line it would open if you run more than 8psi of boost.

When at idle or decel, the engine has to be drawing more than 8psi of vacuum to open the BOV, which is generally not a problem unless you have a huge cam.

Boost on the bottom is the same as vacuum on the top.

Ya im totally coolwith takin it off...turbo is antisurge.. Ive thought bout it before but didnt know if it was "safe" for prolonged life of the turbo but if its leakin either way i guess its kinda like not havin one... Right now its a spring activated hole in my charge pipe( and yes i know it should be hooked to manifold but it wont even hit 7psi when manifold is piped to it)
So if anyone disagrees with denali08 about me not runnin one let me know... Kinda new to all this this is my first fi build.. So to all that have replied thank you.. You fellers on this forum have been very helpful...

I would not recommend that. It will sound cool but you will beat the crap out of the turbo. Fix your bov issue.

A lot of us actually run the ebay china piece of **** BOV. It seems to work okay, and BOV is not a critical piece like a wastegate is. You need to hook it up to manifold reference and get the correct spring in it.
