How much boost can the stock intake on a 2007 LY2 take before it fails? Looked for a while for a similar thread but found nothing. Thanks in advance!

 

It will take WHATEVER you throw at it. Something else will fail before the intake fails.

 

Can't say I've heard of one failing from too much boost.

 

x3 never heard of a stock intake failing from boost.

 

It looks like it would be plenty strong, but I figured I'd see if anyone had seen or heard of a stocker cracking or anything from boost. Planning on 20-25 lbs before its said and done. Well, "said and done" being a relative term. We all know there is no real end to this **** lol.

 

Boost it till it breaks, LOL As said it can handle what you can push at it

 

Never heard of one breaking I even know of a few extreme ported models with boost without failure.

 

NNBS intakes can take good amounts of boost. Just get it ported and youll be good.
