Done except the grill and facia! Took it for a spin this evening. Fwiw leaving at idle it eats the tires in 2wd until it goes to second with 900 lbs. in the bed and pulls hard. Weight ~ 6100 with me in it.

I'll know more later but last night I did a 20 roll kickdown and it went to 1st and hit the rev limiter before it had time to shift so I need to be careful. Also I know kickdowns aren't really recommended with FI but I used to do it all the time in my 07 with a locally well built 4l60.

I have to say the worst part of my maggie install was putting the actual blower/manifold assembly on the truck solo. wound up getting it on the front crossmember, getting myself *** on the cross member with my feet on the frame rails and wrenching my back out getting the friggin thing in there. (took out a quick disconnect T into the heater core/rear heat lines, but on first look, I dropped a million F bombs thinking I was doing a heater core, vs searching for an oddball 9 dollar part)

Would have been easier with the hood off, but hey I did it all solo.

OMG I hear ya! After I saw how much work was involved doing this there was no way I was asking my mechanic friend for help. My old body is beat up. Don't think we would've been friends after this lol!

I lol'd at this.

I'm already scoping out tires. LOL. My 420's are still like new but I'm sure that will change.

(I still have a week before I can pick my truck up.....lol)

If you're 2wd yeah you'll need something especially with the power yours will make! Mine is just a stock 5.3 and there is no way it would hook without 4wd on stock tires. I know the week will be a long one but believe me you made the right decision my friend

So Sam Miller huh.
I know this is late to the party, but mine really hasn't been that bad. With the stock/included pulleys and whatever it was perfectly fine and easy. It got harder when I wanted to do an 8 rib conversion and have fancy idler pulleys on all that. But as far as the whipple itself being difficult that's not true.

TVS vs Whipple, I really doubt you could do a blind test and tell a difference. Ive had both and they both come online faster than you know what to do with.

Looks like its going great!
