The limit straps are horrible if they are preloaded. You have to back them off for normal driving or the ride is stupid. With stock suspension and standard street tires I can cut a 1.58 .60 at the track for reference, and I am pretty heavy. Truck is 5800 without me.

Got curious and went to tirerack.com to check it out. Apparently they both suck in dry traction and everything else as well in their performance testing. The 20's were 10% wider tread at 9" than my 18s. Makes me wonder what that truck would've run if it had decent tires. It was bone stock suspension with the 20's. These tires DO suck lol. Thanks for bringing that to my attention sir!

So Pat is that just changing the preload and changing air pressure a bit then? Anything else to track prep? I'm all ears!

The wheels are 8.5". I've got Toyo Proxes ST II in 285/60R18 on. I'll let you know in a couple weeks how they do.

The Yokohama Geolanders in this size suck.

Nice. I need to come soon but I'll probably just get my 60' down at Kennedale first so at least it's worth my drive lol.

Ok I'm convinced I'm going to have to have some shocks at least on the front. Unloaded my truck today for the most part. Even leaving at idle it hits so hard it jerks the front end up until the shocks are totally extended and then it loses traction and bounces. Recommendations for a 14? Would love double adjustable but no luck searching yet. They are strut style. Good call Atomic.

You could try Belltech adjustable struts.

The DA route you'll have to figure out springs (which I couldn't) and something will need to be fabbed to mount the bottom of the shock.
