Default boost controllers, whos using them

i know alot of import ppl use them how many domestic guys are using them and which ones. i know some get away with building a boost controller from parts from local hardware store. im not trying to go that route...kinda seems to cheap IMHO

i have an ANS electronic controller out of my truck (mainly used for SyTys & GNs). plugs inline between the GM harness and the WG solenoid

but right now on my truck i have a manual control valve. (didnt make it from the hardware store, but probably could've) its was like $40. regulates boost levels to like 27psi.

I use the STS electronic boost controller (basically a switch to an air pump with a regulator on it).

Hall Pro RX manual bosot controller, got it on ebay

The brand new Hallman Pro RX Kit contains the Hallman Pro valve with a ceramic ball, light and heavy springs, 3 feet of hose, mounting bracket, hardware packet and complete installation instructions. The Hallman Pro RX Kit is designed to allow very specific control of boost. The RX kit has a ceramic ball instead of the 316 stainless ball that comes in the Hallman ES valves . The ceramic ball only weighs a fraction of what the stainless steel ***** weighs. This weight difference allows the ceramic ball to act very quickly as it is constantly changing directions during operation. The ceramic ball, in conjunction with the use of a lighter spring will allow very fine adjustment of boost. Boost can be adjusted in half pound increments very consistently with this valve. This kit is specifically designed for turbo enthusiasts that want to add a few PSI of boost over stock, and have a great amount of control over those few pounds.

This kit also includes the heavy spring for those that would like to switch the spring and adjust to more than 5 psi of boost over stock, and still take advantage of the quick-acting qualities of the ceramic ball.

The Pro valve has been designed to not require the use of a lock nut or any type or allen wrench(s) to be able to adjust your boost. Simply turn the adjustment **** and it stays. Another great feature is the fact that the adjustment **** cannot be lost or come out of the valve. Simply put, there is not a potential for overboosting since the adjustment **** cannot vibrate loose and come out.

I am using the STS electronically switchable, manually settable controller as well. Pretty simple and works well enough for my needs. Low boost is determined by the waste gate spring and hi boost by a manual pressure regulator with an electronic solenoid to switch between the two.
