I had same problem mine was sensor in wheel bearing

My brake pedal pressure has been for **** for a ,long long time. Even worse after I hurt my engine. No vacuum is the issue, engine is always just below positive pressure or just above even when cruising especially up grades.

smoke test yr upper motor if possible and check all yr vacuum lines

You know I was thinking it is the wheel sensor also because the way the pedal kicks back like the abs is working. I drove the truck all day today and it did it more than 20 times. Its getting very annoying. I just dont know why would the whole truck go crazy if it is just the front hub assembly.

my '07 started doing stupid **** like this...couldnt find anything wrong and it was all stock with just a tune...got rid of it.

Pulled the ABS fuse and mine was fine only for dam light

I'll try pulling the ABS fuse and see if it doesn't do it any more.
