Comp Turbo - Oil Less

Just curious about them and reliability/longevity and for the rest of the turbo people.

Yes my buddy uses them on his tt viper kits.
Another buddy on his tt g8

Both loved them and they made great power. No comparison vs bw, on3, precision, turbonetics... They are pricey.

I figure they would be $$$$. My builder uses them and I got curious.

I did read you have to relube the bearings periodically.

Yeah, I believe Its a $400 upgrade to the oil-less on top of an already expensive turbo and need "serviced" with more high temp grease every so often. They have to be water cooled too.

2010 build we did uses 1.
Has thousands of miles with no issues.
You do have to add grease ever 3000 miles or so depend on boost psi.

Price is comparible to billet precision or higher end turbos.

I've seen and heard of so many comp turbos failing... I wouldn't even consider using one

Local guy used a pair onnhis 2015 mustang and they were coolant cooling ones...the turbos had internal failure and put coolant thru the engine causing failure to motor
