Anyone heard of low EGT's causing oil leaking/burning from a turbo?

I've been battling the idle smoking problem for quite awhile. I've finally noticed a pattern to the oil burning/smoking. It's always happened at idle only, and it only happens some of the time. I finally realized that like clockwork, any time my EGT's dip below 800 it will start smoking pretty good. If I brake stall the engine up and bring the EGT's up over 800 it goes away. I can then let it sit and idle again, and it will not smoke at all until the gauge dips below 800 again. After that, here comes the burning oil smoke again.
Turbo is a Precision PT76GTS.
I'm running a -6 feed line with a .054" nitrous jet for a restrictor, and a -10 drain line with no kinks or uphill runs. It drains into the pan above oil level.
Anyone have any ideas?

Might be a -4 too, I can't remember for sure. Either way it's got a .054" restrictor in there.
That's kind of what I was thinking too....turbo probably has 20k miles on it or so. I'm not sure what would be expanding or contracting...if it was a bad seal it would be smoking all the time. Maybe something in the center section? I dunno.

Try a different turbo on there. Borrow kyle's or something and just do an idle test to see if his turbo does it.
That will determine if its the engine or the turbo. If you're not comfortable doing that, then you'll have to take it apart and inspect. IIRC you had that one rebuilt already once right?

I was going to but I never did. I'll try swapping them out once I get the truck all back together.
I did put in a call to Precision today, and I had the two guys that I talked to stumped. I'm supposed to be getting a call back from another guy tomorrow, we'll see what he says.
