Default Almost finished with 90mm TB mod... but

What are you guys using to fill the hole on the top right corner of the J-Tube flange? I woulod show pics but the damn camera batteries just took a dump. I'll work on em though.

I wasn't sure if you could use JB Weld or some sort of other Epoxy? Then just sand it down and smooth it out? I just dont want to use the wrong thing and risk it chumking up and falling out later and being sucked into the blower.

My project is on an 01' GMC 5.3L with a Radix so I dont have to do all the wierd flanges and such. Simply elongate the 2 bottom holes on the Nick Williams TB and then port out the J-Tube opening. Cake mod if you have a few basic tools. I'll do a write up when finished but the hole has me stumped.

BAH! I just saw what Big Tex used in his write up. I read that damn thing 5 times and missed the JB Weld part.

HA! KRAMBO also used JB Weld on his modded flange with no problems. He posted pics of the process where as I forget to take some of that part. I've had no issues with mine.

TeX
I would like to see how you laid that screw in there and what size before you JB welded it.

My only mistake was not using a screw with a super large head to hold the epoxy in place while it cured. I had to do a few applications due to dripping. Nothing a quick shot with the dremel couldn't handle though.

Big Tex used foil to make a form around the area which is necessary. I don't know why I didn't think of that I guess when you are focused on a task, the simple things get overlooked...

I used an old lift ticket from a ski resort but when I tried to remove it after curing I jabbed my thumb with the metal wire and now its slightly infected and sore.. The easiest part of the mod became the hardest lol

I used a really large pan head machine screw that filled in most of the area. That helped my dripping some. Then as Kevin said, I used some aluminum foil as a form around the area as a mold. Once it had hardened, I was able to easily remove the foil.
