Default 90mm J tube on Radix question

For those that have swapped out their MP112 J tubes for a MP122 (90mm) J tube. The MP112 tube has 5 usable bolt holes (3 across the top, 2 on the bottom) whereas the MP122 tube doesn't have the middle top bolt hole... did you guys just go with the 4 bolts?

Also, torque specs for these bolts?

tia

Yes, just the 4 bolts is enough. I just tightened them until my wrist clicked using my little 1/4" drive ratchet.

This is what I use for sealant back there, just a thin coating is all you need.

You can also use loc tite form a gasket. I think the torque needed is about 18ft/lbs.... I only know bc I just did the same upgrade LOL.

What was the SOTP difference? I've been back and forth on this mod as I have heard mixed results.

Beastmode, in for your impressions when you get it swapped

It is definately a worthwhile & noticable improvement. Part throttle and WOT are both better.

Unfortunately I won't have a before and after impression as this MP122 tube is going on a brand new kit. Figure it's probably easiest to do it right now while the supercharger was sitting on the work bench

Same here man. I am installing the ls6 motor and the mp 112 for the first time this week. Just wanted to get it on before the blower went on.
