nitrous plate instead of that spacer would make more power with cooler IAT's

Just sayin..

I've read about similar gains but I'm skeptical that the throttle body and j-tube alone would net 30hp

I bought the j-tube from superchargers online and I know there were only a few left at the time. The injectors are 60# Delphi 11180625, plug n play

I'm not really sure how much power i lost without the intercooler pump but the iats rose so fast it lost power almost right away.
That's a bummer about the pump, I'm sure the number would have been higher if you could have kept things cool. My tuner seems to not really like the idea of 3rd gear pulls. Did you ever end up adding meth? and if so which kit did you use / how do you like it?

It's not a bad idea, I've seen the spacers plumbed for nitrous before but I don't have plans for any spray

Picked the truck up from Slowhawk yesterday afternoon, 434hp and 419 torque at 12lbs of boost in second gear. Looks like the 90mm tb and J- tube , 1/2" spacer and dropping down to a 2.8 pully all combined was worth a 43hp increase. So no, upgrading the J-tube alone won't get you 30hp. The spacer is keeping things slightly cooler but again bolting on this alone isn't going to result in large gains people are expecting. I was guessing anywhere from a 40-50 overall increase so right about what I was hoping to see. Over the winter I plan to add alky control and maybe a new pully on the crank for a few more pounds of boost but I'm not sure how much faster I should spin this little blower

I'm aware mustang dynos generally read a little lower this was also done in second gear for fear of throwing the drive shaft. It only took 8 years of lurking but I think I've made a signature, mods I can remember off the top of my head are listed there. Needs meth!

Looks like going from a 3.0" to a 2.8" pulley gave you about a 2psi increase; I'm at 10psi with my 3.0" pulley on my 5.3 with long tubes and GT2-3 cam, and at roughly 15hp per incremental psi, that's 30hp of your 43hp gain. Very surprising the spacer and 90mm TB didn't give you more.

Previously with the 3.0 pulley I was running 8.5lbs so it's hard to say how much the drop in pulley size to 2.8 actually accounts for. At 12lbs now I'm sure the pulley, spacer and tb/j-tube all had some sort of effect on boost one way or another for an overall increase of about 4lbs. If your looking for more I'd skip going 90mm and slap on a 2.8 and some meth.
