5.3 radix build
#1
So I detonated cylinder number 7 in my rcsb Sierra and decided it was time to just build the damn motor. Its been bored .20 over for some forged Mahle pistons with forged Eagle connecting rods, the stock heads have been "worked" and a GT2-3 cam installed with LS6 springs. I also picked up a 3.0 pulley with the appropriate belt and Stainless Works long tubes. I'm currently looking into 60# injectors and am leaning towards the Siemens part number: 109958 from FiveOmotorsports. It says they have the EV6 connector so they should be plug and play other than needing fuel rail spacers, are these suitable for my application? Also is there anything else I'm missing for this build? Guys with similar setups please chime in! Thanks.

Im running a sort of similar combo in my truck but with a cam with more overlap and a 4L80. I would highly suggest a built tranny if you have already not done this. My Performabuilt 4L60 did not last all that long behind the Magnacharged 6.0. Lastly, where in MA are you from?

Ordering those injectors today. Yeahh I'm aware that my stock transmission is going to hate me and go pop next, probably going the performabuilt route, I don't really want to swap an 80E unless I absolutely have to. As far as what goals I have for the truck, I don't really have any specific numbers or times I'm trying to reach yet. With just the radix it already did a great job putting all the tight pants VW kids in their place, my town is full of them. I haven't done anything about traction problems, leaning twords a set of caltracs in the future. I'm from the Bellingham/Franklin area if you MA guys know the area. Who are you using to tune? Slowhawk?

I run a Blackbear tune via AutoCal. Works for me since I don't have to travel and the expense is only once. Only downfall is sometimes waiting but if you are proactive he is great! I'm from the Palmer, MA area about halfway between Springfield and Worcester.
