5.3 with 6.0 heads
#1
Hey guys toying with the idea of buying an aluminum 5.3 and mounting my magnacharger on top of it. I think the l33 5.3 has almost 10 to 1 compression. My thought was throw a set of 6.0 heads to lower compression down and put a small pulley on it. Any ideas what my compression might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

so will the 6.0 heads bring the compression down on an LM7 also. Would any other work need to be done. I putting a turbo on mine, so that might be a good idea for me too. anybody know what stock compression is on the LM7.

I don't know about just putting a set of heads like the GTO 6.0 without a good porting on my LM4 but then the compression goes up, I don't know how much for say a 64cc and I don't know how much hp you would gain, I have heard you can get to much flow and then a guy says on a super charged engine you can't get to much and if you get to much compression just turn the alky up, Would like to hear from someone that has tried it

Patting my own back here but the L33 has proven a very good platform for the Radix. My track times show that.
The L33 heads are not the same castings as the LM7/LM4/L59 9.5's.
I make 9.5lbs with a 3.2" pulley.
Times and Dyno charts are in my sig, click the pic.
Enjoy
I'm just saying that the L33 does well as is, lowering the cr with a set of worked heads may allow you to increase boost/timing a little bit more.
