Ok so the 4.8 has 199,xxx miles. Going to replace timing chain, head gaskets, and oil pump. Suggest anything else like lifters etc? Engine runs like a champ(just slow lol) but I figure what's another 1 or 2 hundred dollars for some piece of mind. I know the 4.8 is going to blow, i just want it to last a little while first!

Thinking about running dual 255's w/ hobbs switch and keeping it return less.
You shouldn't need a hobs switch. Just run the both all the time. I'd run a 12 ga minimum power feed to a nice 40 amp relay.

Check Craigs list for trans. I picked mine up for $300 with 140k on it. I bought my yoke from driveshaft specialties in San Antonio. You'll need your trams first before you order. Depends on the tail shaft that it has.

I was under the impression that both pump running all the time would overpower the stock regulator. That is the reason I was going to use Hobbs switch.

That could be true. If that's your plan then I'd go with a hobs.

Been a couple months since i've been on here. Had to buy the wife a new Yukon. Need a bigger SUV with the baby on the way. Its a girl BTW. So that and Christmas presents put a hold on the spending on toys! Waiting on my valve springs to come in that i ordered back when i ordered the kit! Ordered a Walbro 450 last night. My plan is to use a 99-02 stock fuel rails to convert it to return style. Please correct me if i'm confused and if they wont work before i buy them. Should be buying fuel PSI regulator and a set of 60LB deatschwerks injectors next month.

I used to be returnless and swapped to return style. I only swapped the driver side fuel rail with a oem return style fuel rail and oem regulator. Bolted right up, no problem. Still using existing pass. fuel rail and crossover. Oem fuel regulator works well with boost. Just had to run a return line back to fuel tank. I used oem/dorman plastic fuel line for return.

Care to share cam specs?

Correction: Sorry, I had to use return style fuel crossover.

The stock regulator cant handle the flow of the Walbro 450. It will work but you will waste a lot of fuel. Need aftermarket regulator after the rails.
