Default 14-15psi on a daily?

I'm running 10-11psi on pump 93 only right now. I've always kept timing safe at around 11 or 12 degrees. Never had a problem, and I beat on it constantly. I feel pretty confident in the safety of my motor right now.

I'm wanting to turn it up to around 14 or 15psi, with around 14 or 15 degrees of timing. With a meth kit of course. My converter was spec'd for 15psi, and I think my turbo will stay in its efficiency more at this psi. Questions at hand:

1. How much meth should I run at this psi?

2. Can I run this amount on a hobbs? I'm a cheap bastard who will more than likely piece together a kit.

3. No quality fuels available local. Any recommendations on mixtures for meth.

4. Any general concerns at this psi daily, motor wise? Head studs and gaskets? Popping of i/c pipes constantly? NGK -8s needed?

Really excited to get this thing turned up. I think going from 10 to 15 should be a night an day difference, especially with the addition of a water/meth kit.

I would increase the boost first without adding any timing. You may jump 100hp between 4 degrees and 5psi, thats a pretty big jump.

1. As much meth as you want really, cant have too much meth.
2. Not sure what you mean? Most meth systems have some sort of a controller to ramp it in.
3. Try to find a VP Fuels dealer, you can email them and ask for local suppliers around you.
4. I would do 7s, dont need 8s yet. Everything else should be fine, just dont drive like a jackass all the time and no worries.

Yep, I agree. I'm running NGK 7's and they would work great for you. What do you mean about piecing together a meth kit? Are you trying not to run a controller?

Thanks for the help atomic. Does anyone activate their meth kits with a hobbs switch? Using it as a simple on/off switch at x psi? Does this create tuning issues? I see a lot of progressive controllers, but didnt know if they were a necessity.

good question ^^^^ I was thinking the same thing the other day.

have the hobbs switch set to like 10 psi to turn on the meth. this would leave some room to play with when cruising around but when you lay into it, the meth would be on. I would think a small single nozzle.

the popular meth kits on here, the sites say to call them for details and order. I don't wanna be like oh hey let me pick your brain and ask you dumb questions lol
